I am going to be so bold as to argue that bees are not busier than myself right now. There is a lot happening in the next few weeks, and I am somewhere between ankle-deep-stress stressed and I-am-drowning-in-stress stressed.
Over the Labor Day weekend, I went home, soaked up some sun rays and barely see the results, but the larger point is that I did absolutely nothing. That was a grave error and a terrible miscalculation on my part. Being behind is the worst thing, so I am using this weekend to catch up. I made a huge list of things to do this weekend, and I intend to check off each item. Here's to actually seeing to all of them being accomplished!
Nothing exciting has happened recently, which is disappointing. I did go to a soccer game. I ultimately purchased thin mints after being unable to convince myself to put them down in the grocery store. I have been watching clips of the Supreme Court nomination process. I have switched up my eye makeup routine. That is about as exciting as this week has been. Although, I will say that I read a few news articles this week, for which I am immensely proud of myself! Normally, I rarely have time to watch or read the news beyond the headlines.
This week, I have been grappling with what courses to take in the Spring. Currently, I have two classes left to graduate (So excited here!), but I am taking the minimum 12 hours. Outside of a political science and history course (I should stop here and reveal: THE HISTORY COURSE IS FOCUSED ON TUDOR AND STUART ENGLAND!!! If you need me, I will be in history heaven.), I get my choice of two classes. I thought about it, and I know I want to take a photography course to learn more about photo editing and how to operate a camera, but I am debating the fourth class. Should I take a political science class? Should I take another art class (A class on drawing has me feeling nostalgic. It has been three years since I was last actively producing art.)? It is the big debate at the moment. I want an academic challenge, but I also want the feeling of ease with admissions decisions coming in and potential trips to new cities for apartments and immersion in the future culture/lifestyle.
This weekend, I am going all-in on homework. Additionally, I am going to finish this data, so that I may upload it into a statistics program to view the results. I may or may not cry. This process is tedious, but I am ready to see the results. So, while the stress keeps hammering, I will hold my thin mints closer and keep doing me. Have a productive weekend!
