It's been a wonderful week! I rearranged my room to give it the illusion that it is larger, and it's working! I'm almost convinced! I began working on one of my research papers. I aced a history exam. I went to the men's soccer match on Tuesday, and I'm going to their last home match tomorrow. I also discussed my future career path with my professor, and I received amazing advice. Apparently, most grad schools and employers aren't concerned with a double-major. In fact, I read that in an article once, but I was skeptical as to whether that was really the case. Therefore, I am extremely grateful to have heard it from someone who has been there and knows what grad schools are looking for. Anyway, I'm minoring in History, and just like that, a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
The weather is cooling down in the South, and I am not ready for the take-your-breath-away 50 degree temperatures. I love the fall, but I love the fall when the temperature remains between 60 and 70 degrees. I've been reading an interesting book on human character for one of my classes, and it is really thought-provoking. I'm only in the beginning chapters, but it has me hooked. Today, aside from classes and assignments, I'm stopping by the university store and buying a nice, bulky hoodie. It's cooling off, and I have no coat except a more sophisticated one that would not match the environment of a college campus. This weekend, aside from the game, I'm going to finish my research paper, finish reading the book, and prepare for next week. Starting Monday, I am stepping in as primary leader of the book discussion, so I have to analyze every page for points and relevancy. Despite this all, I'm looking forward to a productive weekend, and I hope you have one and more as well.
