I hope you had a very merry, Merry Christmas filled with plenty of cheer, joy, and sweet treats! Each year, since we have reached the point of wanting everything but toys, my sister and I utilize our Christmas allowance and shop directly for ourselves. My mom still jokes that the surprise is ruined under those conditions, but she recognizes that it is much simpler. My parents did surprise us with a few hand-picked gifts, so we were surprised in some regards. We had a nice, southern breakfast of grits, sausage, and eggs, and the real treat came with a seafood broil for dinner. So, so good. I received new clothes, no surprise there, and I am excited to wear them after being forced to gawk at them under the tree for weeks. (The pain has been real.) I think I am going to chill with cocoa, read, and bask in the remaining days before I return to Statesboro for the second semester. I hope you have a lovely week and lots of goodies to style and utilize! Next week, I promise it will be a Friday usual.
